Raccoon Rescue

We had this raccoon trapped inside Shopper's Drug Mart. It turned into baby raccoons separated from mom. After waiting hours for mom to return I scooped the babies in a box and took them back up onto the roof, with the help of Jason and Tom.

May Long Weekend

Great weather today and we spent all day doing some landscaping around the house we bought late last year in Stoney Creek.

The only crime i dealt with today was the high price of plants and flowers. I'm not used to this manual labour. Here's what we did .....

The Thai Tims Visit Celtic Park

Reamonn Gormley was a young man from Scotland on a gap year in Thailand. He became a much loved volunteer English teacher for special needs children and helped bring the world the "Thai Tims". He taught the kids how to sing Celtic songs. He taught the world a few lessons too.

Reamonn was stabbed to death after returning to Britain. He was the target of a street robbery by two men who are now behind bars. Stabbed to death for not handing over his wallet quick enough while walking home from the pub, after watching a Celtic match with friends.

His last words to those struggling to save his life, "Please don't let me die."

Today those young Thai kids are at Celtic Park. They will sing before Celtic takes the field against St Johnstone. The kids have become a huge hit with supporters of Celtic FC. The fans and the players have raised money to bring them to Glasgow. The players wore uniforms with their names written in Thai. The shirts were then auctioned off to raise some cash, just one of many helping hands. Among the many activities for the children in Scotland was a visit to the grave of Reamonn Gormley, may he rest in peace.

Reading up on this story broke my heart. I just had to try and share it with as many of you as possible. Here are some videos of the Thai Tims.

Charlie Mulgrew named Scottish Football Writers’ Association Player of the Year. Here he is choking back the tears with the Thai Tims.
